What you’ll do
- Operate starch manufacturing equipment: milling, slurry preparation, separation, washing, drying and packing
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, pH and moisture
- Start up, shut down and change over equipment as per SOPs
- Feed and handle raw materials correctly and record batch data and deviations
- Follow GMP and quality standards, report abnormalities and help with sampling and basic quality checks
- Minimise process losses and wastage
- Follow PPE and plant safety rules, join safety drills and keep 5S housekeeping
- Do basic preventive maintenance and cleaning and report malfunctions
- Maintain production logs and shift handover records and comply with ISO, FSSC 22000 and HACCP
What the employer asks for
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation or Food Technology (food technology preferred)
- 10+2 with relevant industrial experience may be considered
- 0 to 3 years in starch, food processing, agro-based or chemical manufacturing; deserving freshers considered
- Basic understanding of starch production and ability to read gauges and production sheets
- Discipline in following SOPs and safety rules
- Good communication and teamwork
- Willing to work rotational shifts
