What you’ll do
- Oversee malt pot distillation including mashing, fermentation and pot or column still operation
- Apply ethanol and spirit production knowledge to keep quality and efficiency high
- Monitor and control temperature, pressure and flow during distillation
- Run PLC/DCS-based process control
- Measure ABV and manage the separation of heads, hearts and tails
- Keep steam, condenser and cooling-water systems working
- Follow GMP, SOP and safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot and maintain pumps, valves, heat exchangers and pipelines
- Perform quality-control checks, record production data and support inventory management
