Community guidelines

Company ratings, reviews and interview experiences help the next food technologist decide where to apply. These rules keep them honest, useful and safe for everyone involved.

What you can share

  • Your own experience as a current or former employee, intern, trainee or interview candidate.
  • About the work: training, safety culture, shifts, lab and plant conditions, learning, growth, pay as you experienced it.
  • About the process: interview rounds, the kind of questions asked, timelines and how you were treated.
  • Balanced detail: what was good and what could be better. Specific, factual and calm reviews help most.

What is not allowed

  • Naming, describing or identifying individual colleagues, managers, interviewers or other candidates.
  • Personal data of anyone, including phone numbers, emails, addresses, employee IDs or photos.
  • Abuse, threats, harassment, hate or language that targets caste, religion, gender, region, disability or any other protected characteristic.
  • Claims you cannot stand behind, such as allegations of crimes, fraud or food-safety violations stated as fact without a public record. Report real safety concerns to the authority responsible, such as FSSAI.
  • Confidential business information: recipes, formulations, unreleased products, internal documents or trade secrets.
  • Exam papers or questions from tests whose conditions forbid sharing them.
  • Reviews written for or against an employer you work for, are paid by, or compete with, and reviews in exchange for anything.
  • More than one review of the same employer from one person, or reviews from multiple accounts.
  • Advertising, links, referral codes or contact details.

How moderation works

  • Every rating, review and interview experience is read by an editor before it appears. Most are reviewed within a few working days.
  • Editors approve, reject, or ask nothing further. We may trim a contribution for length or remove a sentence that breaks these rules, without changing its meaning.
  • Published contributions never show your name, email or profile. We keep your account ID with them only so we can apply these rules and handle requests.
  • Ratings count toward a company's score only after approval.
  • We may remove a contribution later if it turns out to break these rules, or if a valid legal request requires it.

If you are an employer

Employers cannot pay to remove, hide or reorder reviews. If a contribution identifies someone, contains personal or confidential information or states something false as fact, tell us what and why through the grievance process and we will review it.

Reporting a listing or contribution

Use “Report a problem with this listing” on any vacancy, or email johnathan@foodsciencedaily.com with the page link. Reports are private to editors. Repeated false reports may lead to account restrictions.

Consequences

Contributions that break these guidelines are not published or are removed. Repeated or serious breaches, such as fake reviews or harassment, can lead to suspension of the account across FSD.
