Privacy Policy
What we collect on Food Science Daily, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details — the name, email and password you register with. Passwords are stored hashed; we never see or store them in plain text.
- Test activity — which tests you attempt, your answers, scores, timing and attempt history, so your dashboard, ranking and answer review work.
- Payment records — order and payment IDs from Razorpay for tests you buy. We do not receive or store your card, UPI ID or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly.
- Basic technical data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To run your account, save your test attempts, and show your scores, section breakdown and rank.
- To compute leaderboards and percentiles against other students who took the same test.
- To process payments through Razorpay and confirm what you've unlocked.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Leaderboards
By default your name can appear on a test's leaderboard next to your score. You can turn this off any time from the Account section of your dashboard — your attempts still count toward rank and percentile, just without your name shown to others.
Who we share it with
Razorpay, to process payments — governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy. Our hosting provider, to run the site. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.
Your choices
- Hide your name from leaderboards at any time from your dashboard.
- Ask us to tell you what data we hold on your account, or to delete your account and its data, by emailing us — see below.
