These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
- fsdsess — keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. It is deleted when you close your browser or log out. Each FSD web address keeps its own copy.
- Browser storage for your work — the site keeps small items in your browser so a test attempt survives a dropped connection, and so it remembers display choices such as a dismissed message or an opened menu. They stay on your device.
Optional analytics and advertising
Used only where enabled, to understand how the site is used and whether our ads work.
- Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*) — counts visits and how people move through the site. - Microsoft Clarity (
_clck,_clskand related) — anonymised clicks and scrolling, with typed text masked. - Google Ads (
_gcl_auand related) — whether an ad led to a visit or sign-up. - FSD activity analytics — our own first-party measure of pages and steps, described in the privacy policy. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals switch it off, and you can change it with the activity analytics preference button on the privacy page.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the optional ones does not affect tests, scores or payments. Blocking the essential session cookie will sign you out and stop forms from working.
