Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to practise and prepare on FSD, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or slow connections.

What we do

  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
  • Pages work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and use headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers.
  • Animation is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200% and pages adapt to phone screens without sideways scrolling.
  • Colour is never the only way information is shown; badges and chips also carry words.

Known limitations

  • Some previous-year papers and official notices are scanned PDFs from their publishers and may not be readable by screen readers.
  • Some diagrams and charts in questions and study material have limited text descriptions.
  • Timed tests keep the time limit set by the exam's pattern. If you need extra time because of a disability, contact us and we will look at what we can do.

Tell us about a barrier

Email johnathan@foodsciencedaily.com with the page and what got in your way. We aim to reply within five working days and fix problems as quickly as we can.
