Senior Officer – Packaging Equipment SME (Nutrition Products)
Herbalife India needs a packaging equipment specialist at Paonta Sahib to keep filling and packing lines at its contract manufacturers running safely, efficiently and in line with GMP and food safety. The officer qualifies new equipment, runs NPD filling trials and solves line and packaging-integrity problems.

What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot packing-line breakdowns at contract manufacturers and resolve packaging issues
- Run root-cause analysis and CAPA for packaging problems, following PDCA
- Attend FAT and SAT at equipment makers and raise trial requests for raw and packing materials
- Prepare and review URS and validation protocols (IQ, OQ) for new packaging equipment
- Conduct filling trials for NPD, new packing materials, moulds and suppliers
- Drive improvement projects to raise OEE, line efficiency and capacity
- Train contract-manufacturer technicians on packaging processes and equipment
- Investigate quality complaints such as seal-integrity failures with QA and sourcing
- Report daily, weekly and monthly packaging performance
What the employer asks for
- 5 to 8 years on packing and filling lines for nutrition powders, solid dose, pouches, stick packs or glass bottles
- Hands-on set-up and troubleshooting of VFFS, HFFS, jar fillers, checkweighers, metal detectors, cappers, labellers and induction sealers
- Experience in line qualification, greenfield filling-line projects and vendor technical evaluation
- Knowledge of TPM (AM and PM pillars), packing-material development and filling-line automation
- SMED, TIMWOOD and RCA tools an advantage; good MS Office and communication skills
