Assistant Manager – Quality (Beverage Plant)
Varun Beverages is hiring an Assistant Manager, Quality, for its Pathankot beverage plant in Punjab. The role oversees raw material, packaging, in-process and finished product quality, leads the QC team and works with production, maintenance and warehouse teams on quality issues, audits and loss reduction.

What you’ll do
- Lead and monitor quality of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety specifications
- Supervise and deploy the quality control and line quality team
- Track critical quality parameters on lines and take prompt corrective action
- Review lab results, quality reports, deviations and non-conformities
- Investigate quality issues and coordinate root-cause analysis with production, maintenance and warehouse
- Maintain calibration, verification and availability of lab equipment
- Keep quality documentation and records to company and regulatory requirements
- Support internal, customer, certification and external audits
- Drive quality improvement projects and reduce quality-related losses
What the employer asks for
- B.Tech/M.Sc. in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field
- At least 4 years of QC/QA experience in the food and beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and related standards
- Skilled with lab instruments and interpreting analytical data
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Able to lead, mentor and develop a small QC team
- Familiar with internal and external audit processes
- Good computer skills (MS Office, ERP/QMS)
- Willing to work shifts at the Pathankot plant
