NIFTEM Entrepreneurship & Management 2026

NIFTEM Kundli's entrance examination is an admission route to its M.Tech programmes. It assesses general ability and subject knowledge in the chosen food-technology stream.

NIFTEM-K conducts this entrance examination for eligible M.Tech applicants without a qualifying GATE or CUET-PG score when seats remain after the corresponding counselling rounds. The 90-minute paper contains 100 MCQs: 30 questions in Part A and 70 questions from the elective stream selected with the programme preference. This test series covers the Food Technology stream associated with the FTM programme.

Who can apply

This route applies to eligible NIFTEM-K M.Tech applicants without a qualifying GATE or CUET-PG score when seats remain after the corresponding counselling rounds.

  • B.E. or B.Tech, or an M.Sc, in a relevant discipline
  • At least 60% marks
  • Non-GATE/non-CUET candidates sit an institute entrance test: 100 MCQs (Part-A, 30Q General Ability/English/GK; Part-B, 70Q from your chosen department's elective stream), 90 minutes, -0.25 per wrong answer
  • Department (and hence Part-B stream) preference is fixed at application — it cannot be changed after submission
  • GATE or CUET-PG qualifiers are admitted on that score, without sitting this entrance test

Paper total — 100

Part-A (General Ability, English & GK) and Part-B (the Food Technology stream) are both compulsory — there is no optional section to choose. Part-B is one of five elective streams in the real exam, picked at application time; this site covers the Food Technology stream only.

Marking scheme

+1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer. An unanswered question scores zero. Our mocks for this exam are scored the same way.

NIFTEM-K's own non-GATE M.Tech entrance test (100 MCQs, 1 mark each, so the score is out of 100), 2022-23 admission. NIFTEM publishes no cut-off table. These figures are the lowest entrance score that got an FTM (Food Technology & Management) seat, read from NIFTEM's own counselling list. In 2022 only two FTM seats went to non-GATE candidates, and later rounds did not change them.
