Who can apply

The non-GATE/non-CUET route into NIFTEM-K M.Tech — sat only for seats left vacant after GATE and CUET-PG counselling, by candidates without a qualifying score in either.

  • B.E. or B.Tech, or an M.Sc, in a relevant discipline
  • At least 60% marks
  • Non-GATE/non-CUET candidates sit an institute entrance test: 100 MCQs (Part-A, 30Q General Ability/English/GK; Part-B, 70Q from your chosen department's elective stream), 90 minutes, -0.25 per wrong answer
  • Department (and hence Part-B stream) preference is fixed at application — it cannot be changed after submission
  • GATE or CUET-PG qualifiers are admitted on that score, without sitting this entrance test
