West Bengal Health Recruitment Board Food Safety Officer 2027

The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board recruits General Service Food Safety Officers for the Health and Family Welfare Department; in the 2022 cycles selection was on academic marks and an interview, with a Bengali dictation test and no written examination.

West Bengal's General Service Food Safety Officers are recruited by the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) for the Health and Family Welfare Department. In both 2022 advertisements (R/FSO/28/2022 and R/FSO/48/2022) there was no written test: candidates were ranked on academic marks (85) and an interview (15), and had to pass a Bengali or Nepali dictation on the interview day. The board can hold a preliminary written test to shortlist when applications are very many, and the marks pattern may then change. Selected officers train at the Administrative Training Institute, Kolkata. A separate body, the West Bengal Municipal Service Commission, has recruited FSOs for municipal bodies.
