TG PGECET (formerly TS PGECET) Food Technology is the entrance test for full-time M.E./M.Tech admission in Telangana university colleges and affiliated colleges. JNTU Hyderabad conducts it on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) as a computer-based test with one paper per branch; FT is the paper for food technology graduates. GATE-qualified candidates are admitted first, and the remaining seats are filled by TG PGECET rank. Osmania University, for example, lists an M.Tech in Food Processing Technology (self-finance) that takes the FT paper.
