Anaemia

A condition where the blood has too few healthy red blood cells or too little haemoglobin, most often caused by a lack of iron in the diet.

Real-life application

Iron-deficiency anaemia is extremely common among Indian women and children, which is why fortified rice and iron tablets are widely distributed.
