Who can apply

For AG-III (General), the post this site models, FCI requires a graduate degree in any discipline and proficiency in computers. The maximum age is 27, according to FCI's latest Category III advertisement (No. 01/2022). AG-III (Technical) accepts science, agriculture and food-technology degrees instead.

  • AG-III (General) and AG-III (Depot): graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university, with proficiency in computers
  • AG-III (Technical): B.Sc Agriculture; or a B.Sc with Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Food Science; or a B.Tech/B.E. in Food Science, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering or Biotechnology; plus proficiency in computers
  • Maximum age 27 for all AG-III streams in the 2022 advertisement, reckoned as on 01.08.2022
  • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PwBD (13 years for PwBD-OBC, 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST)
  • Each candidate may apply in one zone and for one post code only
  • Age cut-off date, vacancies and relaxations are set per advertisement, so check the next notification when it is issued

+1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong answer. An unanswered question scores zero. Our mocks for this exam are scored the same way.
