CUET-PG (Common University Entrance Test — Postgraduate) is the National Testing Agency's national entrance exam for postgraduate admission across central, state and participating universities. The Food Science & Technology paper (Test Paper Code SCQP12) is a single Domain Section built on the UG Food Technology syllabus, used for admission to M.Sc programmes such as Food Science and Technology and Food Technology. Unlike GATE, FCI or CFTRI, there is no separate general-aptitude section — the whole paper is subject knowledge.

Who can apply

A postgraduate entrance exam, so it needs a completed bachelor's degree — the exact discipline list and minimum percentage are set by each participating university, not by NTA.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline — e.g. B.Tech/B.Sc Food Technology, B.Sc Food Science, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Home Science (Food & Nutrition), or equivalent, depending on the university
  • Minimum aggregate typically 45-55%, varying by participating university and category
  • No upper age limit set by NTA for CUET-PG
  • Exact eligibility, minimum percentage and category relaxations are set by each participating university — check the specific university's admission notification
