AIIMS New Delhi runs a Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) for Group B and C posts at AIIMS institutes and other central bodies. Its first post group covers Assistant Dietician, Dietician and Junior Dietician (and a Warden post). CRE-5, notified on 13 June 2026, had Assistant Dietician posts at AIIMS Bathinda, Mangalagiri and New Delhi, Dietician posts at AIIMS Bathinda, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna and Raipur, and a Junior Dietician post at CNCI Kolkata. Selection is a 100-question computer-based test followed by document verification. The posts need an M.Sc. in food and nutrition or a related field and two to three years of hospital experience, so a B.Tech in Food Technology alone does not qualify.

Mock tests follow AIIMS's CRE computer-based test: 100 questions of 4 marks each in 90 minutes, run as five sections of 20 questions with 18 minutes each; a section closes when its time ends and cannot be reopened. 20 questions are general knowledge, aptitude and computers and 80 are the domain (Food and Nutrition, Diets). AIIMS does not split the 80 domain questions by topic; the four domain sections in these mocks are our grouping.

Marking scheme

4 marks for a correct answer. AIIMS states "a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer"; these mocks deduct one quarter of the question's marks (1 mark). Unanswered questions carry no penalty. Qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, 30% for SC/ST and PwBD. An unanswered question scores zero. Our mocks for this exam are scored the same way.
