The official 2015 screening syllabus could not be reached on mpsc.gov.in or its archives, so these units reflect what the 2015 paper on this site tested, not an official syllabus. The paper has 84 questions of 2 marks (168 marks) in 60 minutes, as transcribed on this site, in one Screening Test section; about 10 questions are current affairs, 5 reasoning and aptitude, 5 constitution, 4 IT, 4 RTI, 5 human rights and civil rights laws, 9 chemistry, 25 food science and technology, 12 FSS Act, HACCP and ISO, and 5 consumer protection, Essential Commodities and standards.
Exam pattern and marking
- The screening test date and centres are from the MPSC announcement dated 18.12.2015; the number of questions, marks, duration and negative marking were not available from an MPSC document and are not stated here as official.

Food laws, safety systems and standards
3 topics- Food Safety and Standards Act 2006: Authority, committees, penalties, labelling
