BHU admitted students to its M.Sc./M.Tech. Food Technology programme through a single objective paper in its own PET. The last round, in 2021, was run by NTA, and PG admission has since moved to CUET-PG. The official bulletin names only the disciplines the questions came from and gives no topic list, so the units below are those disciplines at undergraduate level and nothing more detailed.

Exam pattern and marking

• One paper, 120 multiple-choice questions, 480 marks, 120 minutes, computer-based (PET 2021)
• +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one; unanswered questions score nothing
• Undergraduate level, drawn from Agriculture, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Microbiology and B.Sc./B.Tech. Food Science & Technology courses
• The sister M.Sc./M.Tech. Dairy Technology paper (course 715) had the same format, based on B.Sc./B.Tech. Dairy Technology, Dairying, Dairy Science, Food Technology and Food Science courses
• Discontinued: BHU now admits to these programmes through CUET-PG
